Warick Towers |

Located in the Museum District across the street from the Houston
Museum of Natural Science and near Hermann Park.
The structure may be viewed as 2 towers connected by 5 bridges, or
as 1 tower with 5 holes in it. The bridge levels spanning between
the towers contain living rooms in the most deluxe apartment units.
Officially it counts as one building because it is joined along more
than 1/3 of its height.
When
waterproofing repairs necessitated completely replacing the entire
5-story parking garage roof, a committee of Warwick residents elected
to completely redesign their roof-top park as well, compiling a list
of desirable amenities. The Warwick Towers Roof-Top Park measures
37,000 square feet the objective was to design and create a roof-top
oasis
This rooftop oasis is now a resort-like space for the Warwick Towers
residents and their friends and family with hundreds of shrubs and
trees, three-tiered fountain, a 5-hole putting green, copper-roofed
gazebos, tennis court, jogging trail and areas for barbecues. This
transformed roof-top park provides a peaceful and therapeutic area
for residents and visitors alike.
The roof-top terrace project has drawn interest from the AIA. |
