John R. Ausburn focuses on new multifamily development and value-added
opportunities in urban markets including Austin and Dallas, Texas;
Denver, Colo.; and California.
Mr. Ausburn has been in the real estate business since 1983 working for both Lincoln Property Company and Trammell Crow Ventures. His experience includes negotiating over $300 million in financing for various office and retail developments, and managing a portfolio of assets valued in excess of $400 million. As a portfolio manager at Goldman Sachs & Co., he oversaw transactions valued well in excess of $1 billion for the Whitehall Acquisition Funds.
Mr. Ausburn was a development partner at Phoenix Property Company responsible for $250 million of urban in-fill developments comprising 1,850 apartment units and 150,000 square feet of retail.
He graduated cum laude from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor's degree in accounting and a Master's degree in professional accounting from the Graduate School of Business. Mr. Ausburn, a Certified Public Accountant, is active in the Urban Land Institute, the Dallas Real Estate Council and serves on the board of directors of the National Multi Housing Council. |
